AFS Enduro – user feedback
Strengths
- Playful, smooth and safe profile.
- Early takeoff for its surface, reassuring for starts while keeping a good speed/glide compromise.
- Healthy behavior in classic wingfoil, appreciated especially when conditions get rough (steady wind, choppy water) compared with the EvoHA 1000, which feels more locked-in with more front foot pressure at low speed.
- Versatile and forgiving, often mentioned as the foil to keep for tired or mellow sessions, forgiving more mistakes than more radical profiles (Pure, EvoHA, etc.).
- Interesting potential in downwind / no wind with the right stabilizer, especially in the Enduro 1600 + UG43 combo described as a “no wind DW weapon” for flat starts in very light conditions.
Areas for improvement
- Limited glide and top speed compared with very high aspect profiles such as the EvoHA 1000 or Ultra 750, even though the behavior remains pleasant.
- Less locked-in and stable than the EvoHA, which can be a drawback for riders looking for a very planted foil for speed or upwind performance.
- Less suitable if you aim for a pure high-performance light wind foil, as the Enduro is more of a safe and easy option than an all-out performance choice against more extreme profiles.
- Bulkier feeling due to larger wingspan on bigger sizes, becoming more cumbersome than a 700 in the high wind range, especially in tight maneuvers.
- Less incisive than pure performance-oriented profiles, feeling smoother but less aggressive, which can lack radicality for very committed riders.
Comparisons with other models
Enduro vs EvoHA 1000
- The EvoHA 1000 is considered more locked-in and stiffer, with more front foot pressure at low speed and better pure glide, especially in paddle downwind.
- The Enduro is preferred for “classic” wingfoiling thanks to its more playful, smooth and light feel, and more comfort when conditions get strong.
Enduro vs Ultra 750
- The Ultra 750 is described as a “crazy gliding” foil, faster and very slippery in the water.
- The Enduro is seen as easier and more versatile, less extreme in sensations.
Enduro vs Pure 700
- The Pure 700 is perceived as more physical and “aggressive”, less pleasant in the low end and touching down more often.
- The Enduro is the softer, more comfortable option, ideal for sessions where you want to be less overpowered by the foil.
Enduro 1600 + UG43 vs EvoHA 1000 + UG41/43 (DW / no wind)
- EvoHA 1000 + UG41/43 is mentioned as a very high-performing combo for paddle downwind with strong glide.
- Enduro 1600 + UG43 is presented as a super efficient combo for flat starts and “no wind” downwind, especially for riders less comfortable with the start phase.

AFS Enduro – feedback summary AI
Strengths
- Outstanding versatility: covers wingfoil, surf foil, downwind, dockstart and pumping, with a well-balanced aspect ratio of 11 (for reference Pure is AR 9 and Silk AR 8), remaining smooth and efficient in technical situations even for intermediate and expert riders.
- Early takeoff and great low-speed tolerance: excellent lift at low speed, does not drop off easily compared with a Pure HA, making it ideal for beachstarts and light wind conditions.
- Impressive glide and pumping: glides for a long time and can be pumped over long distances, with very stable foot pressure, perfect for downwind runs and long sessions.
- Agility and smooth carving: turns well, fun and agile (short fuselage recommended), offering a unique balance between glide and carving.
- Stability and control: smooth and safe in carving, full control with no sudden stall, pushes less vertically when paired with the right stabilizers (HA38/40).
Areas for improvement
- Less incisive and responsive than the Evo HA: smoother and safer but less sharp at the end of the turn, and slower than the Evo HA 750/1000.
- Lower glide than pure HA profiles: less extreme glide and top speed than Ultra or Pure HA (which tend to stall quickly if you are not an expert), with a more limited high end compared with some competitors.
- Low end that is good but still below the KT Atlas, feeling a bit short in ultra-light wind for riders chasing the very earliest takeoff.
- Manoeuvrability depends on using the short fuselage: the standard fuselage favors glide but reduces agility, and the Enduro is not as nimble as a Pure 800 in pure carving.
- Stiffness can be a limit in heavy swell/overfoil: generally sufficient but can flex slightly in powerful overfoil conditions (with UHM skinny carbon mast), with some roll to manage at very low speed.
Comparisons with other models
Versus other AFS foils
- VS Evo HA (750/900/1000): smoother, safer and very stable at the top end, more versatile overall, but less incisive/responsive, less playful/loose and with less pure pump/glide.
- VS Pure (700/800/900): more forgiving in the low end with a more balanced glide/carving mix, but less technical/radical and less of a “gem” in pure carving.
- VS Silk (650/850): higher aspect ratio (11 vs 8) with superior speed and glide, but less stable in waves (no tubercles).
- VS Ultra: easier and more versatile, while the Ultra keeps a “crazy” level of glide and speed.
Versus other brands
- VS Ketos: more stable foot pressure across a wide speed range, which is reassuring and helps in transitions.
- VS KT Atlas/Nomad: similar glide and more manoeuvrable, but with a weaker low end compared with the KT.
Overall take
- The AFS Enduro shines in versatility, glide and easy takeoff while remaining accessible, but is less incisive and offers less extreme glide than Pure or Evo HA foils.
